Creative celebration in Corona times: instead of a big party, a look at history via social media
125 years ago the company from which Wefapress emerged was founded. This year’s anniversary was actually supposed to be a big celebration. Since this is not possible in times of Corona, the company is taking all interested parties through its social media channels to experience the company’s history.
From a picker made of rawhide for the loom to a high-tech plastic for industry – Wefapress has experienced and shaped some exciting developments in its history. The multifaceted history of the company now spans 125 years and was to be honoured with a large celebration involving many employees* and business partners* in June. However, due to the Corona pandemic, an event of this size is currently not feasible.
Nevertheless, Wefapress does not want to let the anniversary pass without a special idea. That is why the company is now inviting all interested parties to relive the company’s history on its social media channels. In the coming weeks, events, developments and anecdotes from 125 years will be presented on Facebook, Twitter etc. – sometimes interesting and worth knowing, sometimes rather curious.
Among the posts, for example, are episodes such as how in the 1950s the loom pickers were made of plastic instead of rawhide – at the time a technical revolution, so to speak. Or how dog chewing bones became the company’s bestseller in a very short time. In addition to such anecdotes and milestones in the company’s history, there will be rare insights into today’s factory buildings and production. The first anniversary articles have already been published. Links to the individual social media presences – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing – can be found on the Wefapress website at www.wefapress.com
