New EPDA member: MB Plastics

Meet Tjerk, Tonny and Jelle Berendsen from MB Plastics in the Netherlands. MB stands for Motherwell Bridge and was founded in 1898 in the Scottish town of Motherwell. Initially, the range consisted of steel structures, including bridges. Hence the word 'Bridge' in the company name.

In the early 1990s, MB Plastics saw the potential to make steel systems in the chemical industry corrosion-resistant by using fluoroplastics (Teflon) as surface protection. Tonny Berendsen has owned MB Plastics since the year 2010. MB Plastics is a family-owned company in fluoroplastics – PTFE, PFA, ETFE, PVDF, ECTFE and other high-performance plastics – for lined piping systems, lined tanks and equipment, coatings, semi-finished products and machined parts.
