SIMONA AG completed the acquisition of 70% of the shares in MT Plastik AS, Düzce, Turkey on 1 February 2021.
Due to the tragic death of one of the shareholders of MT Plastik, Tufan Kalkan, the closing was delayed. Going forward, the company will appear on the market under the name SIMONA PLASTECH. With this acquisition, SIMONA is aiming for market leadership in the PVC foam sheet business in terms of quality, breadth of the product portfolio and market share. The acquisition of MT Plastik expands the portfolio with new and established products and opens up growth potential in construction and advertising applications under the umbrella of the newly established Advertising and Building Construction Industry business line.
