Distributors Forum XXL • Belgium • 15-17 November 2023

This year, our Distributors’ Forum is hosted by three manufacturers: Mitsubishi Chemical Group, Paneltim and Exolon Group. We are delighted to be able to offer our distributor members three plant tours, several expert sessions, and two network dinners.

Wednesday afternoon, November 15th: Paneltim in Lichtervelde

Our visit to Paneltim starts with lunch. After lunch, Paneltim will give us a tour of their plant. After seeing and learning a lot, industry speaker Saskia Walraedt will provide a very interesting presentation about How the EU Green Deal and the Circular Economy Challenge will transform the Plastic Industry.

Saskia Walraedt

Saskia Walraedt holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Ghent. She started her career in the chemical industry at ICI in 1996. After various functions in R&D, technical service, technical marketing and purchasing at multinationals such as Huntsman, Honeywell and TotalEnergies, she started in 2009 at Essenscia, the Belgian Federation of Chemicals, Plastics and Life Sciences industry. Initially, she supported members in implementing the REACH and CLP legislation. In 2012, she took on the role of senior advisor in sustainable development, where she built an extensive expertise in circular economy. Since 2018, she has been director of Essenscia PolyMatters, the division of the national association representing plastic producers and plastic converters. Also, in this context, Saskia remains closely involved in the circularity of plastics and the legislative framework linked to this.
