GUARNIFLON OFFERS NEW PROMOTIONAL LEAFLET
Guarniflon Spa has introduced a new six-page leaflet. It is a useful
tool that summarizes the wide production range of this Italian producer.
The highlights are on the high performance PTFE based compounds,
where some very special products are more and more required by the
most sophisticated markets and applications. It also includes sections
dedicated to special sealing products called Calfim and SC, both
intended for a wide range of applications and offering particular
performances depending on the type of compounds used. The last part
of the leaflet displays the international network of Guarniflon Group,
a comprehensive organization made by six foreign sister companies
coordinated by the headquarters in Italy.

GEVACRIL® CAST TUBES ILLUMINATE
ART PROJECT
High
quality GEVACRIL® cast acrylic tubes were used for an experimental
light-art project at the Alte Hallenbad, an Art-Deco indoor swimming
pool no longer in use in Heidelberg, Germany.
Illuminated from the inside with a blue light system, the cast acrylic
tubes diffuse a bright, smooth blue-coloured light throughout the
whole surface of the acrylic installation, creating a picturesque
atmosphere which reminds viewers of the blue water that once filled
the Art-Deco basins until 1981.
A mix of modern dance and complementary disciplines like music,
video and light make up this extraordinary project, which involved
many international artists and has already been viewed by hundreds
of visitors.

NEW REPORT SHOWS POLYMER DISTRIBUTION
GROWTH IN EUROPE OUTPACING MARKET GROWTH
RATES
Applied Market Information Consulting reports that growth in
polymer distribution is now averaging more than 6 percent a
year, at least twice the growth rate for the polymer industry
in Europe as a whole. In some sectors, distribution growth
is even faster.
European polymer
distributors sold more than 4 million tonnes of po lyolefins, styrenics
and selected engineering polymers in 2006, representing 13 percent
of the total European market for these polymers.
These findings are revealed in a new in-depth study on the market
from AMI
Consulting. The report also analyses the success, strategy and
financial performance of Europe’s polymer distributors in
detail. More than 200 distributors across the EU-25 region are
profiled, with detail on sales, differentiation, annual turnover
in distribution and supplier relations.
For more information on the “Polymer Distribution in Europe:
Preparing for the Future” study, please contact Kerry Satterthwaite
